Paste your unpaid invoices and choose a report date. You get a customer-by-bucket ageing table, the share of receivables in each age band and the average days overdue.
Paste unpaid invoices (customer, dates, outstanding amount). Credit notes can be entered as negatives.
If a due date is missing it is set to the invoice date plus the default terms.
Pyalm Books tracks overdue invoices and receivables ageing automatically from your sales cycle, so the report is always one click away.
A total of AED 400,000 receivable tells you little; knowing 40% of it is over 90 days late tells you where cash is stuck. Ageing shows which customers drive the risk, how collection is trending and where to focus follow-up. Auditors use the same report to test existence and to assess whether an allowance for doubtful debts or expected credit losses is needed.
'Current' is not yet due. The other bands count days past the due date (or the invoice date, if you choose). If your file has no due dates, each is set to the invoice date plus the default terms you enter. Credit notes can be included as negative amounts so they net against the customer's balance.

Ageing from the due date shows how late customers are and is the usual choice for collections. Ageing from the invoice date shows how old the debt is regardless of terms; some auditors prefer it for provisioning.
