A decision tool that explains when to raise, hold, or review retail rent

A stakeholder-ready product prototype that ranks rent decisions by tenant sales and affordability, with evidence, approvals, and an audit trail.

Global
The challenge

What needed solving.

Collectors were making rent-increase and arrears decisions from spreadsheets and instinct. Leadership wanted every decision to be explainable and reviewable before investing in a full build.

What we built
  • Portfolio command centre and rent-increase decision queue
  • Evidence drawer with approve/hold actions for each store
  • Arrears and promise-to-pay workbench
  • Automatic affordability assessment when stores are added
  • Per-business accounting-system connector model and reconciliation status
  • Governance audit trail and responsive mobile layout
Key decisions

Prototype before platform

A complete, clickable front end with simulated data let stakeholders validate the workflow and the decision logic before committing to integrations and a backend.

A data contract ready for real connectors

The UI is built against the same shape the production connectors will produce, so the next phase adds a backend without redesigning screens.

The result

Stakeholders could test the full decision workflow end-to-end and approve the scope for a production phase with SSO, role permissions, and live accounting connectors.
