Pick a product (or enter your own density and bag size) to estimate how much fits in each container type, and whether volume or weight is the limit.
Send these figures to our spices desk on WhatsApp for prices, samples and shipping options. See Pyalm Spices & Coffee
Pyalm trades spices, green coffee and pulses from Calicut and Dubai to Europe and worldwide, with samples, lab reports, private label and dropshipping.
Light, bulky products like dry chilli and cardamom fill a container by volume long before they reach the weight limit. Dense products like pulses and coffee can hit the payload limit first. The calculator works out both and uses whichever comes first.
Packed density depends on the product, grade, bag type and how the bags are stacked. The defaults are typical planning figures, so replace them with numbers from your own past shipments for accurate planning.

Commonly around 320 bags of 60 kg, about 19.2 tonnes, though it depends on the bags and the shipping line.
The calculator uses conservative defaults. The real limit depends on the container, the shipping line and road weight rules at origin and destination, so confirm with your forwarder.
Bags can't fill every corner of a container. 85–95% of the usable volume is a realistic range.
