The right size for every platform

Each platform crops and compresses images differently. Uploading at the recommended size — 1080×1080 for an Instagram post, 1200×627 for a LinkedIn link image, 1280×720 for a YouTube thumbnail — keeps them sharp and framed the way you intended.

Fit, fill or stretch

'Fit' keeps the whole image inside the target size; 'Fill' covers the target and crops the overflow from the centre, which is what you want for exact-size thumbnails; 'Stretch' forces the exact size and may distort.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Images are processed with your browser's canvas — they never leave your device, so it's safe for ID photos, product shots and screenshots containing private information.

Will enlarging an image make it sharper?

No. Enlarging adds pixels by interpolation, so it gets bigger but not more detailed. Resize down whenever possible.

How do I keep the proportions?

Leave 'Lock aspect ratio' on and change just the width or height — the other side updates automatically.
