How to Make a Company Seal or Stamp Online (Round & Rectangle)

You don't need a design tool to create a company seal. Here's how to build a round or rectangle stamp online, what to put on each, and how to export it with a transparent background.

A company seal is a small visual mark of authenticity — the round or rectangular stamp you see on invoices, letters, certificates, and approvals. You don't need a graphic designer or a physical rubber stamp to get one: you can build it online in a minute and export it as an image.

Round vs rectangle — which to use

Both are "company seals," but they read differently:

  • A round seal has the company name curving along the top edge and a location or tagline along the bottom, wrapped around a short center word like "OFFICIAL" or a star. It suits certificates, official approvals, and formal marks.
  • A rectangle stamp stacks its text in straight lines — company name, a bold center word, and a bottom line for a date or signatory. It suits "APPROVED", "RECEIVED", and paid-stamp style marks where lines read more naturally.

What to put on a seal

Keep it short — a seal is a mark, not a paragraph. A typical layout:

  • Top / company line: your registered business name.
  • Center: one strong word — OFFICIAL, APPROVED, PAID, or your initials.
  • Sub line: a supporting word like SEAL or the document type.
  • Bottom: city and country, or a date.

Make it transparent

The single most important export setting is a transparent background. A seal saved on a white square will cover whatever it's placed over; a transparent PNG or SVG drops cleanly onto a document so only the ink shows.

Do it now

The free Seal Generator gives you both templates, live editing of every line, a colour picker, and one-click download as a transparent PNG (for documents and email) or SVG (a crisp vector for print). No signup, nothing uploaded.

Once the seal is ready, you'll usually want the document under it. Pair it with the invoice generator or receipt generator to produce the paperwork, then keep the whole ledger in Pyalm Books.
