Spice Export Documents Checklist: What You Need for Every Shipment

The documents for exporting spices, coffee and pulses — invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary, lab analysis, fumigation and Indian export registrations.

Editorial disclosure: Pyalm publishes and maintains the products and free tools discussed on this site. Regulatory statements are linked to primary sources where applicable. No independent professional review is claimed unless a reviewer is explicitly named.

Missing or wrong documents are one of the most common reasons spice shipments get delayed at destination. Use this checklist.

Exporter registrations in India

  • Spices Board of India registration (CRES) for spice exporters

  • IEC (Importer Exporter Code) and FSSAI licensing

Tips

  • Match product descriptions and HS codes on every document. See HS codes.
